Upcoming Reunion 2009 in Crans/Montana scheduled for June 22 – 27, 2009

Save the Dates! June 22 – 27, 2009 (5 nights, 6 days). Back by popular demand, our 8th reunion will be held where it all began for us – Crans/Montana (with a nostalgic visit to the old school in Bluche, of course!). While details are still being worked out, the main venue will be at Hotel Art de Vivre, www.art-vivre.ch which is very centrally located in Crans and has been newly refurbished.

This hotel has 23 double/twin rooms and 4 singles. The rates are as follows:
Sfr 250 for a double with breakfast.
Sfr 120 for a single with breakfast.

Alumni can also choose Hotel Du Lac, www.hoteldulac-crans-montana.ch which is only a five to seven walk from Art de Vivre. This hotel will also do a great deal to assist families requiring an extra bed in the room.
Hotel du Lac has 30 rooms. These rooms will be
Sfr 136 for a double with breakfast,
or Sfr 68 per person with breakfast.

We’re hoping to reserve all rooms in both hotels so that we can Really have some fun without worrying about disturbing other guests. Please visit the websites of the two hotels and reserve your own rooms directly with the hotel of your choice as soon as possible. Judging from past reunions in Switzerland, the rooms fill up pretty fast. If you would like to share a double room with another fellow alumnus, please review the list of attendees (see below) and contact him or her directly.

This reunion promises to be the biggest ever, since we have registered over 100 newly found alumni over the past two years. Almost all classes from the early ‘60’s to the mid ‘80’s will be represented. 18 alumni have already said they’re coming, and the word is still just getting out. Like the two previous reunions in Crans/Montana, the reunion will include a field trip by bus to another mountain, a ‘promenade obligatoire’ among the local hills and towns, a soiree, and food and wine like we’ve never had at the old school before.

The reunion team consists of Pradeep Kapadia, Sharon Baumann and Sally Mayor with all kinds of help from others including Ottavia Giorgi Monfort, Ross Povenmire, Annette White, Robin Kelleher, Katy Cantor and John Paul Lewis (more volunteers needed, don’t be shy!).

All over the world and in Italy Im looking for people who spent the period from 21 July to 31 August 1971/1972 with me at this wonderful school. I have some photos that remind me of those times and i also have a film from which I hope to get other photos. On those photos I've also found some names. I discovered there is a website called Friends of Bluche http://www.friendsofbluche.com made by girls and boys who were there from Settember to June and that made me want to get in touch with the people I met in the seventies. I'm sure that my website will help me to find at least some of those people.Just imagine, 33 years have gone by....

Estoy buscando, en Italia y en todo el mundo, los amigos y amigas que trascurrieron conmigo el periodo del 21 de julio al 31 de agosto, en los aňos 1971 y 1972, en esta magnifica escuela como estudiantes.

Tengo algunas fotos que recuerdan esa época y tengo tanbién una imagen de video de la cual espero sacar otras. En algunas de ellas que he encontrado en un cajón, están escritos los nombres de algunos.

He descubierto hace poco que hay un sitio web oficial : Friends of Bluche http://www.friendsofbluche.com (chicos y chicas que estaban allí durante el aňo escolar septiembre - junio) y esto me dio un deseo muy grande de recordar esos dias y reconquistar esas amistades del las cuales he perdido el contacto en todos estos aňos que han pasado. Ha sido un sueňo de siempre que no he podido lograr hasta ahora, actualmente, con este sitio web, estoy convencido de que lograré encontrar esos amigos que se han disgregado en Italia y en todo el mundo: recuerdo algunos nombre, de otros tengo sólo un indicio, que es mucho, pensar que han pasado 33 - 34 aňos.
